How to Retrieve Forgotten IRCTC Password

So you finally don't remember your IRCTC password. Only you can now retrieve the forgotten password.

Click the "Forgot Password?" link as shown below or click here to reach the same page:

So you land on this page:

If you don't have your User Id then learn how to retrieve your forgotten user id.

Key-in the UserId and press Proceed. You reach this page which asks you security/secret question:

If your answer is incorrect then you get a message "Answer is Incorrect" as shown above. Remember your security question is case sensitive.

If the answer is correct you'll find this password reset email in your registered email id, unfortunately IRCTC is the only site in the world which does not give any hint of your email id to which it has been sent.
